I grew up in a military family. Being an “army brat”, I lived in many places including Missouri, Kentucky, Texas (twice), Germany, Arizona, Georgia, and Tennessee. I’ve been in middle Tennessee for most of my life, and I love it.

Nature has played a big part of my life. My family has always loved being outdoors. As a child, camping, hiking, fishing, horseback riding, cooking out, watching the stars, or playing outside well after dark, was all of part of growing up with parents that liked to play. As an adult, I enjoy being active through regular exercise, playing golf, gardening, and travel.

I started this journey with art as a young child, painting, drawing, sewing, and making crafts. I was a nurse for 17 years. I revisited art by taking a classes locally in Franklin, TN.  I painted with pastels for a while, but I’m pretty much hooked on oil painting! I study with various artists and my mentor is Dawn E. Whitelaw.

Through art I have met so many talented artist from all over the country and here in Tennessee. I’ve now started my own business, which is a working art studio that has six art studios within, a common work area, and a room where a variety of workshops and classes are held.

On Track Studios is located on 2 acres in Franklin Tennessee. It has a rural feel, but is very close to town. I have local instructors, and artists from all over the country teach here. The students are also from all over, as well as locally.

I'm learning and exploring how to convey my feelings on a variety of subjects that I'm interested in. I would love to paint for you. I will passionatly intrepret landscape, still life, abstracts, and animals, in a painting that speaks to your desire.
